Engineering Surveys
Most construction projects require the provision of survey control and continuing activities such as precise setting out of major components and the measurement of earthwork quantities.
Beluga Deere Surveys takes the responsibility for these activities in the construction of major buildings, roads, bridges and underground services.​
3D Scanning
Beluga Deere uses 3D laser technology in conjunction with land surveying methods that can accurately measure and collect data from objects, surfaces, buildings, and landscapes.
Laser scanners collect information in the form of point cloud data, which consists of millions of 3D coordinates (XYZ coordinates). These coordinates are surveyed in (known as targets), then scan and the targets are then integrated into a 3D model.
Setting Out & Staking
Survey measurements on a construction project are intended to control position, dimensions, and configuration of elements.
Also included are measurements to determine quantities for payment of work and adequacy in the accuracy of completion.

Hydrographic Surveys
We at Beluga Deere are able to assist with inland hydrographic surveying, an important civil engineering service that determines the physical features of underwater areas. Like topographic or land surveys, with these surveys we use special equipment to measure and define a body of water to support dam construction or volume calculations.
Topographical Surveys & As-Built Surveys
Beluga Deere Surveys can do topographical surveys on any site, from a single plot to a large multi-acre development.
We utilise the latest GPS & GNSS technology along with reflectorless and robotic total stations and specialist data processing software.
All topographical survey work is provided to the highest standard, whether drawn or digital, and can be delivered in a variety of formats to either the client or RICS specification, as requested.

Leveling
Beluga Deere can assist clients, using the process of levelling, to determine the height of one level relative to another. This is used to establish the elevation of a point relative to a datum or to establish a point at a given elevation relative to a datum.
